About

Hello, My Name is Samantha Morse

Film Producing Senior at Arizona State University

A stubbornly passionate and committed film producer. A lover of well told stories. I'll get the job done effectively and efficiently, with a smile on my face.

Bio

Could you believe Samantha Morse started university as a journalism major? Needless to say, it wasn't a great fit. She realized early on that fictional stories of adventure and mystery were where her heart, and creative passions, belonged.

So, in the Spring of 2018 she changed her major to filmmaking practices, with a focus on producing. She has been an upstanding and prolific member of the ASU filmmaking community ever since. Samantha's portfolio of work as a leader on set includes a gay horror flick, a ballet psychodrama, and a superhero parody based on ASU itself. Her most recent works, Mixed-Up and My Friend Al, are where she really shines. A dark comedy following an assassin as she carries out a hit against an immortal man, and an experimental film watching a young man struggle through severe drug withdrawls after the death of his best friend.

She is a highly respected entreprenuer and academic scholar. She is well liked by her coworkers and classmates alike. Not to mention, her clients rant and rave. Aside form filmmaking, Samantha is also a self-made wedding videographer. Capturing the love and beauty of a couples best day gives her more joy than she can put into words, and hopes to continue making memories for years to come.

“I BELIEVE THAT FILMMAKING - AS, PROBABLY, IS EVERYTHING -  IS A GAME YOU SHOULD PLAY WITH ALL YOUR CARDS, AND ALL YOUR DICE, AND WHATEVER ELSE YOU’VE GOT."
